10 more weeks!

Yes, we are wrapping up week 30!  I can't even believe we have 10 weeks left until due date.  Judging by the size of my belly...I don't know that she'll make it to 40+ weeks.  Not really sure where else baby will go in the next 2 months...this could be interesting to see what my belly will do. We're starting to think she may be a few days early.  As long as she comes after Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Kristen's wedding on May 7, we're good to go :)  But, then again, she may be like her mom and dad and come on her own time - late!  As long as she comes out healthy, we'll take her anytime.

We celebrated mom's 30th birthday over the weekend. Daddy Derek surprised me with a fabulous dinner at Lucky 32 with a group of our friends on Friday - what a great night.  I'm so lucky to have such a fantastic group of friends, a loving family - and an incredible husband, who goes above and beyond for me.  Madeline is lucky to be born into such a special group of people.

Papa and VieVie also came for the weekend to celebrate Derek's and my birthdays and helped us wrap up the nursery.  Our glider and ottoman were delivered, so things are pretty much complete.  We're thrilled with how it has come together -

Madeline  is now about 15.7" long, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). Our little tiny dancer not only responds to people's voices (especially her daddy's), but she will respond to music, as well.  We play music for her often - its fun to see what kind of music she "likes."

I'm a tad bit uncomfortable this week with some back pain.  I think M is sitting on a nerve or 10 because the pain is only on the left side and it's not muscular (believe me, Derek has massaged and massaged until his hands gave out).  Madeline also has a little foot pressed up against the top, left part of my rib cage, so between that and the back, I'm having a little bit of a hard time sleeping, walking and sitting. But other than this, I can't complain!  It could be worse.  Still feeling good otherwise!

We're so excited to meet our little angel.  Who knew we could fall effortlessly, insanely, passionately, tenderly in love with a little girl we haven't officially met yet?  Thinking about Madeline, watching her move and stretch - it all brings tears of joy to our eyes.
