Grand Cayman trip

What. A. Trip.  The Beavers crew (most of us - we missed Keith, Rach, & Wayne!) hit the airways and traveled to Grand Cayman for cousin Kristina's wedding.  We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and were completely spoiled and pampered.  We ate amazing food, we sipped champagne by the pool and rested in a cabana on the gorgeous white beach.  What a blessing to have been a part of such a special trip.  We had a blast - congratulations, Kristina & Binford!  We're so happy for you and we're thrilled to have shared your special weekend with you.

Miss Madeline stayed with Vie and Papa while Mom and Dad had a special get-away.  She was missed beyond belief, but had a great visit.  She ate well, learned some new tricks and sprouted one more molar (with one slowly poking through on the other side).  We're up to 10.5 teeth!  Madeline, our little parrot, is also copying about anything you have to say.  For example, she heard mom calling to dad while in Greensboro, so when dad is around, Madeline calls out, "Beeen."


She's also making animal sounds (what does the dog say? "Woo woo woo."  Duck?  "quack."  Lion?  "Raaaaaaa."  And so on.  She'll also reach out and touch your nose when you ask her where your nose is.  Smarty pants.


And speaking of noses, here's a little ditty from today because it makes me laugh - I was rocking her before her nap today and she clearly wasn't ready...instead of dozing or getting tired, she smiled at me behind her Nuk and stuck her finger up my nose.  I can't explain how much I love this kid.  She makes me cackle.
