33 weeks

This week, Madeline weighs a little over 4 pounds (like a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch long mark. She is a growing girl!

Nothing too new to report from Mom's end.  Same achy hips and back, clumsiness and swollen feet and ankles.  Par for the course as I approach month 9 of pregnancy, I'd say!  One new thing I have noticed this week is some tingling and numbness - a restless feeling - in my wrists and hands. I asked the doctor about it last week and she said it's typical pressure in the carpal tunnel from extra fluid. But truly, if this is all I have to complain about, I really can't complain.
This past Sunday, April 3, my sweet friends in Raleigh threw M and me an amazing baby shower at Scotts Mill in Apex. There was a huge smorgasbord of delicious food, a yummy 'M' cake, adorable decorations (complete with handmade onesies that said "A Baby Beaver", "Loved by all my aunties" and some with M's name and monogram)...every detail was covered and met. I was overwhelmed with emotion and completely humbled.  With every gift, I got closer and closer to feeling "ready" for baby.  Madeline will be born into such an abundance of love.  She's a lucky little girl. VieVie, Papa, Nannie, Anne Sutton and Shelley helped Mom get everything unloaded, organized and put away afterwards.  I loved reliving it all over again :)

So thank you, Aunties Allee, Candice, Carrie, Elizabeth, Jamie, Kristin, Kristin, Kim, Mary Blair, Merv, Michelle, Rachelle, Shelley and Tracy for hosting such a special event.  I can't wait for Madeline to meet you and love you just as much as I do!

6.5 more weeks!
