Madeline in 4D!
We went for a 4D ultrasound of our little girl today. Madeline has tons of hair already and likes to cuddle with/squeeze her umbilical cord (the dark thing over her shoulder in the pictures). She also kept her feet up towards her face a lot of the time and has really long legs and arms. The tech said she is head down, and is unlikely to turn, which is great. She kicked quite a bit during the ultrasound, but kept her face buried in the placenta for the entire first part of the visit. A couple of pieces of chocolate and mom turning on her side had her facing forward in no time!

Very cool appointment indeed! Papa and Vie Vie were overwhelmed to see this little angel in all her glory! Interesting to see a big personality taking shape as well. She seems very sure of herself--as in what she likes and needs--and very confident of her comfort zone. (Love that she hunkers down face first in the placenta, that blood-rich storehouse of nutrients and warmth and a sure source of her mama's heartbeat.) These traits are in keeping with all the wonderful, strong women in her family tree! Welcome to the team, sweet Madeline!
