25 weeks

This has been an interesting week. We took a little trip to the hospital on Sunday. Everything is fine - we just wanted to make sure that that was indeed the case. I woke up Sunday morning and thought that I may be leaking amniotic fluid.  I hadn't experienced anything like this before and got really nervous, so I called the doctor and he asked that I come in to make sure all was okay. So, we went to Wake Med and had a check-up and a few tests and as it turns out, it was not amniotic fluid, but probably just cervical fluid.  The good part of this trip (aside from getting confirmation that everything was a-okay!) was that for 2 hours, we were hooked to a fetal monitor, so we listened to Madeline's heart beat and constant movement which, as always, is incredible. We also received her birth certificate info sheet, so Madeline McNeel is all set for her delivery (which better be in May!).  Anyway, needless to say, a little scare like this is enough to keep any complaints from me at bay.  Swollen feet, sleepless nights, the ever-protruding belly...I will take it all.  We just want little one to go full-term and be healthy.

Head to heels, Madeline now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight is around a pound and a half — about the size of an average rutabaga.

I also wanted to share Madeline's new dolls.  A special lady, who is a customer at mom's store, made these two incredible Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for sweet baby M. Such a treasure!  I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Adams, but I hope to one day soon so I can thank her in person for such a lovely tribute to our little girl.
