27 weeks

We're officially kissing the second trimester goodbye and preparing ourselves for the final haul. Time has FLOWN by and Baby M is already 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended.

I had my glucose screening test this week. One sweet orange drink and five vials of blood later, it's done (we hope!).  Now we just wait for five days and call for the results. I'm sleeping a little better these days, thank goodness.  Appetite is still going strong, but I have noticed that I can't eat as much as I used to because it's so "tight" in there.  So, smaller meals more often it is - which is actually probably better for me.

Madeline enjoyed a Bon Jovi concert this week - Dad treated Mom to a night full of music from her childhood (I have liked these guys since 1st grade, believe it or not).  When I told VieVie where we were going, she started quoting "Shot through the Heart," in her best theatrical voice, no less.  She remembers my fascination with Richie Sambora as a kid, which has since gone away.  Plastic surgery + bloating = not so attractive anymore, Rich. It was a great show, though, and Madeline moved around a lot.  Either she was rocking out with her mom or she was trying to hide from the screaming fans.

We also took a flight down to Atlanta for Amanda and Rob's wedding over the weekend.  Itty Bitty Beavers was very, very active during the flight - especially during take off and landing.   She allowed me to dance a few times with Dad, Auntie Kristin and the beautiful bride, but the ol' legs gave out quickly and I had to get some rest.  It was a beautiful wedding, though, and I am so glad we could make it down.

We go tomorrow for 4D pictures!!  We can't wait to see what our little girl looks like.  We'll post more pictures once we have them!
