24 weeks

And we have hiccups!  I was wondering when I would feel these, and finally did.  What a funny feeling :)  I think I have actually felt these twice now, I just didn't think much about it the first time. Little one is now large enough that she can't hide her movement from people.  She used to get really still when someone would touch my belly when she was moving, but she is "allowing" others to feel her little kicks and jabs now. Uncle Keith felt her last week and Vie and Papa felt her over the weekend when we were in Greensboro.  SO, come one, come all.  She's an active little girl.

I feel pretty decent right now.  I have had a little nausea this week, but it's probably a reaction to stress or lack of sleep or just those hormones acting up, again. Maybe a combo of all three!  I've also noticed a little swelling in my ankles and feet at the end of the day...note to self: knock it off with the heels, already.

Madeline has now caught up with an ear of corn in size (almost a foot long) and has reportedly gained about 1/4 pound since last week.  Tummy is still growing right along with her, as evident in this week's photo. And for the record, I don't feel like my tummy is this large in reality, but those who see me regularly, please weigh in...and be kind. ;)  I blame the angle.

We were very excited to get a special package from Mimi and Grandbuddy this week, too!  Madeline's booster car seat and the base for Derek's car (for her infant seat) arrived with love from her sweet grandparents. So thoughtful!  It's fun to see everything coming together.  3 1/2 more months (108 days to be exact)!

  1. Hey, you look wonderful to your mama, Girlfriend! I think you're pulling that dress tightly enough over your tummy to create the illusion of Madeline's having grown all the way up to under your boobies :) and based on what I saw over the weekend, you've still got lots of room in that area! Pretty little pregnant woman!
