21 weeks

Our little wiggle worm is growing, and therefore, so is Mom.  My "little" bump is becoming bigger by the day and I have gained about 4 lbs. in the past 4 weeks (about a pound a week, which I have read is normal for this point in the 2nd trimester).  I'm certainly more conscious about what I'm eating now that I am fully able to enjoy food again.  Lots of vegetables and fruit, chicken and finally - fish again.  Up until this point, fish (which is usually a favorite) has really grossed me out. I have been eating red meat instead (which is usually not my thing).  Oooohhh, pregnancy.

Madeline now weighs around three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot

I feel her moving all the time.  She's really good about moving around when I have my hand resting on my belly, but the second someone else touches - she's completely still.  She did kick her daddy mighty hard this week, which brought the biggest smile to his face.  He's so proud of his little martial artist. We're also still enjoying watching my belly move around.  Little flutters, summersaults and jabs are so much fun to watch.  AND, we literally felt her little body this week. She was pressed against my belly and we could feel, what I'm assuming, was her little back.

In her 21st week, little M got lots of love and touches from her aunties at our annual Christmas party (yes, in January!).  She also enjoyed good food, dancing to live music and a cheer competition ;)  She's a lucky little girl to be born into so much love!  Here she is posing with some of her aunties at 21 weeks.
