Baby B and I traveled to Wrightsville Beach over the weekend for the SWAT for Emily walk. A group of friends from Greensboro and I walked 13.1 miles in honor of our friend Emily and her fight against Leukemia. It was a fun, fun get together and a great walk (though I proved to myself that I am not as young as I used to be....my legs were killing me. I was in bed by 9 on Saturday night). Needless to say, I am on exercise hiatus this week.
Baby B is now the size of a lime (just over 2 inches long) and weighs 1/2 ounce. It's so wild to think that something so small can affect you so much - physically and emotionally.
I'm starting to feel a little better each day. The nausea has become tolerable and less invasive, thank God. I am still pretty sleepy, but sure enough, the "narcolepsy" is disappearing. I'm craving heavy foods. For example, last night's dinner was at Kabuki...where I insisted we split the "Imperial Dinner for Two," and yes, it's a gluttonous amount of food and I'm not even embarrassed about it. I am a little embarrassed, however, that I have already polished off the leftovers, but in the words of Chris Farley, "LAY OFF ME, I'M STARVING!"
We're on the road to "recovery" - bring on the second trimester!
