Mama the Blogger has been MIA

Between work and travel and my precious babies - I have been busy, busy.  Time to get back on the updates!

Madeline is quickly approaching her 5th birthday.  5.  I registered her for kindergarten back in January.  She'll be at Scotts Ridge Elementary in the fall.  All of this completely blows my mind.  My sweet first born is all of a sudden - a beautiful "big girl."

Miss M is still loving her preschool and her dance lessons and does so well with both.  She's writing her name very well, along with pretty much anything else, so long as you help her with the spelling.  She enjoys drawing pictures and reading her books to us (by memory, of course).  She is still the best big sister I know and loves her brother with her whole heart.  She's always such a huge help with him, but certainly knows how to press his buttons.  Part of the job she'd probably say.  And part of the sassy nature of "almost 5."

Our Benjamin is a precious, wild man!  Growing like a weed and so curious...and into everything in his path!  He is sweet as pie, but can throw a serious tantrum if things don't go his way.  Two-nanger. And, when he has finished eating, he's ready to get down and GO!  Always moving, that little man. He loves airplanes, cars and trains and is starting to talk more and more.  He will tell you he loves you, to turn on the light, that he's sorry and so on.  And of course, he knows who his family is by name. He has started to show interest in using the potty before bath time, which makes me a happy mama (maybe, just maybe by the summer we'll be diaper free!?).  Still a good eater (this is an understatement) and sleeping pretty well for the most part.  He has started to wake up earlier than usual, which I'm thinking is a growth spurt.  Or he has little interest in sleep, as his afternoon naps have become shorter, as well.

We signed Benjamin up for the 2 year old class at our church preschool starting int he fall, so he will be following in big sister's footsteps at AUMC Preschool.  He'll love it, no doubt.

We are so fortunate to be Mama and Daddy to these precious people.  We're so grateful and our hears are so full of love and joy.
