I remember this day three years ago quite vividly. The overwhelming feelings of excitement, exhaustion, fear, discomfort, impatience, happiness and intense love are permanently marked in my memory and on my heart. It was, and remains, one of the happiest days of my entire life. It was the day I became a mother. I am forever humbled, grateful and changed.
Madeline has the most incredible spirit and determination. She's insanely smart, and beautiful from the inside, out. She makes us laugh daily and has a flair for the dramatic. She's sensitive, yet strong. She's very girly, but isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She's determined and incredibly independent. In her mama and daddy's eyes - she's perfection.
