- Madeline is speaking in complete sentences...that we can understand. A few funny recents include:
- My nose is running (or Dora's nose is running, baby's nose is running...can you tell we have a cold??)
- Where are youuu?
- Daddy go cook (this is what she told Derek when he left the kitchen to come play with her while dinner was cooking...she clearly wanted to play independently)
- Ewww mushrooms (one of the few foods this kiddo won't touch)
- Ewww trash (she hates to find trash on the floor...this kid is a mini-me)
- I want ____ - insert whatever it is she wants or needs
- Bus, car, truck...she likes to tell you which she's seeing on the road when we pass them
Our little magpie also likes to talk on the phone. She'll stay on the phone with you and chatter, though we can't really understand everything she's saying.
- She is eating with a fork at every meal (if the fork isn't present, she asks for it..loudly and repeatedly)
- She is using the potty when she wakes up in the morning and before bath time
- She sings and dances to her songs. Literally, she sings to the tune and either makes up "words" or completely nails them, word for word.
- Speaking of dancing, she likes to have "dance parties" after dinner. This usually starts with Mom, Dad, and M dancing to Dora and then turns into whatever comes on iTunes. We all get a good work out and have fun doing it.
- We have an animal book that makes the sound the animal makes when you press certain buttons. Since she was little, we have pressed the turkey button and tickled her when it gobbles. Now, she presses the button and tickles herself and laughs!
- She knows some of her colors: blue, green, yellow, pink
- She is learning numbers (1, 2, 3)
And she just makes our hearts go pitter patter. Such an awesome kid.
