17 weeks

There isn't a lot to report this week so far since everything is about the same as last week. Lots of movement throughout the day - usually after I eat and at night when I'm relaxing. This is the BIG week, though.  We find out who our little bitty is.  2 more days...but who's counting?!  Derek and I were married two years ago, today.  We marveled this morning at how fast time flies.  Who would have thought that as we celebrated two years of marriage, we'd also be celebrating becoming parents.  SUCH an awesome year. 


This past week was an exciting week for our friends, too.  The Gurganus family welcomed baby Cy and the Cables welcomed baby Sadler. They are two of the most precious little babies.  We're so excited to know these sweet little men, and for our child to grow up with them. 


I think I've had our crib bedding picked out since about week 6, and over the weekend - we ordered it!  I think I have juuuust a touch of my mother in me - quite the planner.  We have decided to go with gender neutral colors so that we can use the bedding for however many kids we decide to have, boy or girl.  The green and white will make up the bumper; the pinstripe will be our dust ruffle and an accent on the bumper, as well.  Can't wait to see it all come together.  We'll have quite a bit longer to wait, though.  Like the furniture, it takes about 6-8 weeks to arrive after you have placed your order.  But that will still leave us plenty of time to set up the nursery and let the pets get used to everything new before Baby arrives (which will be extremely new for them). 

And just for kicks, Baby B is now 5 inches long...about the size of a turnip!
