......Benjamin Beavers!
So, our little guy went to bed really easily last night. As in, I got him ready for bed, kissed him, placed him in his crib and turned out the lights. And that was that.
Derek dream fed him around 10:30...and he slept until 6:15 this morning. And then went back down until 8:00.
He's certainly making this mama proud, all while making it harder to face the fact that this is my last week at home with him. I go back to work Monday (lots and lots of tears from Mama). I have cherished every minute at home with this special blessing. Who wouldn't - this is my morning greeting each day -

And so it begins...
Madeline told us this week that it was time for "Benjamin to go home." HA! I asked her where he lived and she said with his mommy and daddy. Priceless.
That being said, she was covering him in kisses last night, so I think she likes him again. Love these two tiny people.

Snow!
Madeline and Benjamin have enjoyed not one, but two big snows this winter! Lucky little babies. Benjamin, of course, doesn't know that snow is fun, but his big sister sure does!

2 months old
Happy 2 months to the best little boy in the world! Our sweet Benjamin has had a great past month.
Here are some highlights:
- He has finally adjusted to bottles. As it turns out, it wasn't as much the bottle he didn't like - it was the formula! We switched from Enfamil to Similac and that has made all the difference!
- He is eating 4-5 oz. every 2-3 hours and I'm still breastfeeding him in the morning and at the end of the day
- He's in 3 month clothes
- He's in size 2 diapers
- Typically, you can put him in his crib sleepy and he'll put himself to sleep (we're starting this much earlier with this kiddo!)
- He threw us a couple of curve balls in the past week, but on a typical night, he's still doing 8/8:30 - 3/3:30 a.m. - 6/6:30 a.m.
- We're still working on nap schedules. For the most part, he cat naps a lot, but he has started to take 2 longer naps each day
- He still loves a warm bath
- He smiles and coos all the time - especially for big sister!
- He doesn't love tummy time, but he loves his activity mat and kicks up a storm
At Benjamin's 2 month appointment, he got rave reviews, of course. He's in great health, and up to 12 lbs. 9 oz. (70%), 23" long (52%), head is 16" (66%). Way to go, buddy!
